Our Approach
One of the Most Comprehensive, Cutting Edge, and Compassionate Integrative Cancer Management Centers in North America
To effectively manage cancer properly, you have to look beyond just chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery.
At Infuze MD, we treat cancers of all stages by addressing all the major pathways that contribute to the growth and progression of cancer. By utilizing this comprehensive approach, we can expect a better outcome with a much better quality of life.
Dr. Abellera has developed a blueprint for properly managing cancer. Whether someone has already been diagnosed with cancer or trying to prevent cancer, the first step is to STOP MAKING CANCER CELLS.
How To Stop Making Cancer Cells
Early Detection & Monitoring
Detoxification
We’re constantly exposed to toxins in our daily lives. These include environmental toxins, like pesticides, GMOs, heavy metals from seafood, and even EMF radiation from WiFi and 5G. It’s nearly impossible to avoid these completely.
On top of that, toxins can also come from sources like emotional stress and oxidative stress, both of which can impact the immune system and make it easier for cancer cells to thrive.
And then there are toxins already in the body—things like amalgam fillings, root canals (yes, dental health can really affect cancer risk), candida, and mold exposure. Mold, in particular, can be incredibly challenging, hiding deep within cells and often going undetected even when symptoms are very present. We see a lot of mold toxicity at Infuze MD, and there’s a lot of overlap in the way we approach both mold and cancer treatments.
To truly support healing, it’s important to detoxify the body’s cells, keeping the “terrain” as clean as possible. With the world we live in, regular and consistent detoxification can make a huge difference in your health.
Starve Cancer Cells Through Food
One of Dr. Abellera’s key strategies in cancer defense is to weaken cancer cells by cutting off their fuel sources. We do this in two main ways: first, by reducing the foods that feed cancer, and second, by blocking the network of blood vessels that supply nutrients to these cells.
In the 1920s, Dr. Otto Warburg discovered that cancer cells thrive on sugar, a concept known as the “Warburg Effect.” This finding led to ultra-low-carb diets like the ketogenic diet. While going full keto can be beneficial, it’s often hard to stick with, and many people don’t follow it correctly. Plus, a ketogenic diet can sometimes increase inflammation, which actually supports cancer growth. We can help you find a nutrition plan that’s not only effective but also sustainable because the goal is long-term health.
The second part of our approach focuses on stopping new blood vessels from forming around cancer cells (a process called angiogenesis). By doing this, we cut off the cancer cells’ nutrient supply, eventually weakening them so they die through a natural process called apoptosis, or programmed cell death.
Our aim is always to help you stay cancer-free for life, and a big part of that is making sure your body’s environment doesn’t support cancer growth.
Oxygenate
It’s well-known that cancer struggles to survive in an oxygen-rich environment. Essentially, by flooding the body with oxygen, cancer cells become weaker and ultimately die. This idea goes back over a century to Dr. Otto Warburg, who found that cancer cells thrive in low-oxygen environments—yet conventional medicine hasn’t widely adopted this approach.
Oxygen impacts cancer cells by creating what’s called oxidative stress. When cancer cells are exposed to high levels of oxygen, they accumulate reactive oxygen species (ROS), highly reactive oxygen molecules that can damage the cells. Here’s how this oxidative stress affects cancer:
- DNA damage: ROS can harm the DNA within cancer cells, causing mutations that disrupt their ability to grow and replicate.
- Halting cell growth: High ROS levels can stop cancer cells from dividing, which slows tumor growth.
- Triggering apoptosis: Excessive oxidative stress can cause cancer cells to self-destruct through a natural process called apoptosis.
- Disrupting survival signals: ROS can interfere with pathways that help cancer cells survive, making them more vulnerable.
- Weakening energy production: Oxidative stress impacts cancer cells’ energy production, slowing them down.
- Boosting treatment sensitivity: Stressed cells often respond better to treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.
- Activating the immune system: ROS can signal the immune system to target abnormal cells, enhancing the body’s defense against cancer.
By increasing oxygen levels in the body, we’re essentially making it harder for cancer cells to thrive, while also helping other therapies work more effectively.
Alkalinize
The idea that cancer cells thrive in acidic environments comes from Dr. Otto Warburg’s “acidic theory of cancer.” Warburg, a Nobel laureate, observed that cancer cells tend to survive better in low-pH (acidic) conditions. He found that cancer cells rely more on glycolysis—a less efficient way of producing energy that increases lactic acid production, which in turn makes the area around cancer cells more acidic. This acidity can help cancer cells bypass the body’s usual growth controls.
So, can we make cells less acidic to fight cancer? While alkaline water, dietary changes, and supplements can be helpful, true cellular alkalinization requires a more direct approach. At Infuze MD, we offer sodium bicarbonate IV therapy as part of your treatment plan, carefully administered to raise your cellular pH and weaken cancer cells.
Reduce Inflammation
Almost everyone experiences some level of systemic inflammation, but it’s especially common in those with cancer. While dietary changes, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments can help, reducing inflammation at the cellular level is essential for impacting cancer.
IV therapy provides several effective options for reducing inflammation in the body. High-dose vitamin C IV therapy is particularly powerful, as vitamin C works as both an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory. IV curcumin, derived from turmeric, is another potent anti-inflammatory option. Glutathione IV therapy helps with cellular detoxification and targets inflammation linked to oxidative stress. Additionally, IV omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects by balancing immune responses. These therapies deliver nutrients directly into the bloodstream, reaching higher concentrations than oral supplements, which can be especially helpful in managing inflammation-related conditions like autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and some chronic diseases.
Optimize Cellular Nutrition
Optimizing cellular nutrition is essential for cancer patients, as it helps strengthen the body’s resilience and potentially enhances the effectiveness of treatment. Cancer and its treatments often place an immense demand on the body’s resources, leading to nutrient deficiencies that can weaken the immune system and impair cellular repair mechanisms. Ensuring adequate intake of key nutrients, including amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids, provides the body with the building blocks needed for healthy cellular function. By maintaining balanced blood sugar levels, reducing inflammation, and supporting mitochondrial function, optimized cellular nutrition can help maintain the integrity of healthy cells while potentially creating an environment less favorable to cancer cells.
For cancer patients, cellular nutrition goes beyond basic dietary guidelines, focusing on nutrients that support the immune response, reduce oxidative stress, and enhance cellular repair and regeneration. Nutrients like vitamins C and D, selenium, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids are critical, as they support immune health, counteract free radical damage, and help regulate inflammation. Antioxidant-rich foods, such as berries, dark leafy greens, and cruciferous vegetables, can be particularly beneficial, potentially slowing cancer progression by protecting cells from damage. A personalized nutritional approach, tailored to the patient’s unique metabolic needs and treatment plan, can play a pivotal role in improving energy levels, reducing treatment-related side effects, and enhancing overall well-being.
Immuno-modulation
At Infuze MD, we don’t just treat cancer—we focus on strengthening the entire body, especially the immune system, which is one of the most powerful defenses against illness, including cancer. Our approach includes therapies like Thymosin Alpha-1 and customized immunotherapy peptides to help boost immune function and target abnormal cells.
Thymosin Alpha-1, or PEG-Thymalin, is a synthetic peptide that mimics a hormone from the thymus gland, which is crucial for immune health. It stimulates T-cells and other immune cells to enhance the body’s natural defenses, promoting tissue repair and reducing inflammation. Thymosin Alpha-1 has shown therapeutic potential for various conditions, including cancers, immune disorders, and viral infections. At Infuze MD, we use a specialized form, PEG-Thymalin, for enhanced effectiveness.
In addition, customized immunotherapy peptides are one of the most advanced therapies available today. Using samples of your DNA, we leverage AI technology to create peptides specifically tailored to your genetic profile. Over 6-10 months, these peptides are administered to target DNA mutations that drive cancer growth. Thousands of patients with aggressive cancers have seen success, with an impressive 72% response rate.
Dr. Abellera and Infuze MD are proud to be one of fewer than 10 clinics in the U.S. offering these life-saving peptides, helping patients by boosting immune strength and enhancing treatment effectiveness.
Enhance Cell Voltage
Enhancing cell voltage, also known as the cellular membrane potential, is an innovative area of focus in cancer treatment because it addresses the energy state of the cell. Healthy cells typically have a higher voltage across their membranes, while cancerous cells often exhibit a lower membrane potential. This low voltage correlates with the reduced functionality of cancer cells, leading to inefficient cellular processes and uncontrolled growth. By promoting a healthier membrane potential, the body can foster an environment that strengthens normal cellular processes while making conditions less favorable for cancer cell survival.
For cancer patients, enhancing cell voltage can support both their overall health and their treatment response. Improved membrane potential helps healthy cells resist cancer cell invasions and may increase the effectiveness of treatments designed to target cancer cells. Therapies such as bioelectric treatments, specific mineral supplementation, antioxidant-rich diets, and low-level laser therapy are some of the approaches that modulate cell voltage. These therapies may work synergistically with other treatments, ultimately helping the body to better distinguish between healthy and cancerous cells. A holistic approach that incorporates these strategies helps the immune system, lowering the tumor burden and enhancing quality of life.
Mind-Body Healing
Stress is one of the biggest factors that can trigger cancer to develop. Cancer often starts as a single cell and can take around 10 years to grow into a noticeable disease. For many people, a major life event—like a divorce, loss of a loved one, or job loss—causes a level of emotional trauma that weakens the immune system, allowing cancer cells the chance to grow uncontrollably. This pattern is something we’ve seen with many patients at Infuze MD.
While nothing can be done to reverse cancer once it has manifested, there are steps you can take to support your recovery and healing. Addressing and reducing ongoing sources of oxidative stress in your life can make a real difference in your journey to wellness.
